"Naked" Dance Party 2020

Title

"Naked" Dance Party 2020

Subject

Party, Dancing, Pre-shutdown

Description

On March 13, 2020, the day after Chancellor Green announced that UNL would shut down for two weeks and move to virtual classes, the students of the Raikes School held a large outdoor dance party. This tradition normally happens at the end of the school year but had to be moved up due to the circumstances. This was back when there were two or three cases in Lincoln, so no one was worried about Covid-19 yet. For nearly every student pictured, this was remembered as the last "normal" event before the world changed. Many students would not attend a large gathering like this for over a year afterward. The mood on campus this day was quite somber, so seeing everyone smiling and laughing at this event made this an unforgettable experience.
